The Inspiration Tab helps you generate and brainstorm new ideas, titles, thumbnails, and brainstorm outlines that can match your style with the assistance of AI tools. You can contextualize suggestions that can seamlessly transform into fully realized projects for your next video.

Best practices to help you get started
- Use prompt to make changes to suggestions: You can enter your own or make changes to any suggestion using the “Let’s brainstorm” section. You can adjust the suggestions for any card by entering a new prompt and refreshing the section.
Examples of prompts to get your started:
- For hooks: “Start with surprising facts,” or “begin with relatable problems and solutions.”
- For outlines: “Incorporate humor,” “mention challenges,” or “include fan theories.”
- For titles: “Make it concise,” “pose a question,” or “include numbers.”
- For thumbnails: "Chocolate desserts" or "low top basketball shoes."
- Brainstorm from anywhere: Use the Brainstorm video ideas
in YouTube Studio to generate ideas for your next video. You can find inspiration from your past performance data and audience comments.
- Understand audience interest: You may see your audience's interest level on new video ideas. These audience interests are based on videos that have been watched by your audience over 1,000 times per week and over the last 28 days. This ranges from very low to very high.
- Undo and redo: You can go back and forth between ideas using the Undo
and Redo
.
- Save your ideas: Be sure to save your ideas as you go. You can easily save any ideas to continue later on by using Saved ideas.
- Tip: Click Save
on any idea list to quickly save an idea for later.

Get started on the Inspiration Tab
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left menu, select Content
.
- From the top menu, click the Inspiration tab.
- Start brainstorming topics for your next video.
- Note: You can select the suggested ideas or enter your own using Create ideas. You can also expand on the idea with Update idea.
- Select an idea to see the suggestion for an outline, title, and thumbnail.
- Note: To get more details or make any adjustments to a card, click Show more.

Outlines
You easily create engaging video outlines by suggesting ideas and simplifying video production from start to finish. You can use these outlines to write your next video scripts.
Titles
This card helps creators develop effective video titles by suggesting options based on similar videos and trends. These suggestions can be customized to fit your content.
Thumbnails
Let AI suggest eye-catching, customizable thumbnails helping your content stand out.
Related videos
This card shows videos related to topics that your audience watched over the last 28 days and your saved searches.
