Sometimes NotebookLM can’t answer your question because of:
- Safety flags: The content of your source contains language that triggers a safety flag. This occurs with sensitive topics like violence, sexuality, or obscenity, even in historical contexts.
- Unclear phrases: When your notebook contains many sources, NotebookLM retrieves the most relevant information based on your question, then builds a response from it. A specific question helps NotebookLM locate the most relevant pieces of information.
- Tip: Make your question more precise and understandable.
- Information not in sources: NotebookLM answers questions based on the information provided in your uploaded sources. If the answer isn't in the source material, it won't provide a response.
