Promotional offers

Promotional offers, also known as promotions, are a credit that can be added to your account once you meet any necessary criteria. Google or our partners will occasionally offer promotions to encourage new advertisers to get started with Google Ads, or existing advertisers to attain new goals. Learn more About promotional offers.

What's the policy?

Most offers require you to meet certain criteria before the credit will show up in your account. The terms and conditions for each promotion can vary by location or by promotion. Make sure that you check the terms that came with your promotion for details about your offer.

In order to use your credit, you’ll also need to have entered billing details in your account. Keep in mind that promotional credits can only be used towards advertising. If you cancel your account before spending the entire credit, the remaining balance can't be refunded. You can manage your promotions on the Promotions page in your Google Ads account.

Examples of promotion terms (non-exhaustive):

  • Existing advertiser promotions need to be applied within the timeframe outlined in the promotion Terms and Conditions.
  • Google cannot accept or replace expired promotional offers.
